Back to School Party: How To

Back to school is always a bittersweet time for me. It brings back sweet childhood memories of buying colored binders and flowery pens but it also comes along with new thoughts of the chalenges a new school year brings. With new courses, new schedules, a brand new job and learning to live on our own this year is feeling rather packed at the moment. A great way for me to welcome in the new year, and celebrate the lasting memories of summer was to host a little back to school party.

This party was also meaningful to me because it was the first party we threw in our new apartment.

Decor:

For the theme I tried to mix the summer’s best memories of lemonade and almonds like at the fair, with the classic back to school look of apples, pencils and chalkboard.

The favors were both the cinnamon almonds packaged in pretty little boxes I found at Michaels and classic pencils wrapped with a little thank you note.

The dollar isle of target was perfect for this party as I found a little erasable board to write the drink menu, and napkins that looked like notebook paper.

Off to class,

How did you spend your last day?
