Craft: Salt Dough Ornaments

 An easy Christmas gift!

Over Christmas this year R and I made salt ornaments… At 2 am.

It was an impulse craft, for a few days I’d been searching the internet (pinterest) for an easy craft idea to make for our family and friends this year and I wasn’t finding anything that seemed fun to make.

Then I thought back to when I was little and I used to make salt dough ornaments with my family…

I thought for a while about how I could make that childhood memory into something that didn’t look so useful.

We didn’t have paint and I thought that sharpie might give the ornaments a new look… and a plain shape, with a drawn design might help make them look cooler and less childish.

I was so excited I ran downstairs and preheated the oven right then, despite already being tired.

We stayed up and baked and drew out on our ornaments  and the next day I wrapped them all and was so excited that I had fun an easy craft to do.

1/2 cup of salt

1/2 cup of water

1 cup of flour

bake at 350 for an hour and a half.
These would make great valentines day presents too!!
