Cooking: Quick Breakfast In Bed-How to!

My favorite parts of being home for the holidays is eating breakfast in bed. I love to wake up a little early and make a sweet treat we will both enjoy.

Sometimes though, I don’t have the motivation in the morning to make fresh pancakes or french toast (my favorite), and I would rather us enjoy a nice saturday breakfast in bed, than make a huge fuss in the kitchen.

I find that the weekend is not quite the weekend when breakfast is served at the table, so if you are like me, here is a simple, quick way to enjoy lazy breakfast without much prep.

Quick Breakfast in Bed:

-One part bread/grain: (Toast, English Muffins, Peanut butter Toast, Leftover pancakes, wafles, crepes, oats or french toast).

-One part Yogurt: (plain vanilla yogurt, greek yogurt with honey, greek yogurt with jam, fruity yogurt, parfait).

-One Part Fruit: (Berries, citrus fruit, juice, or frozen fruit made into smoothie…).

-One Part Protein: (Eggs, almonds, quinoa, or almond milk).

This is a simple 1/4 equation that will make any breakfast combination fit the criteria for a healthy and filling breakfast!

Enjoy, and remember… any breakfast can be made into breakfast in bed, it doesn’t have to be complex or include rose petals!
