Orangette’s Winning Hearts and Mind’s Cake

This book.

Molly Winzberg’s book “a homemade life” made my week.

All week, I sat on the couch, reading pages and pages, tempted to try every recipe, yet not wanting to leave the couch to be able to read all of the next chapters.

Then it ended, I read the last page, called my mom, thought I had a chapter left, and turned the page to find that the book was over. Just like that, I had no more information. No more stories, and great reflections. I had read it all.

Good thing her next book comes out in May.

Tonight we had friends over and I really wanted to make the last recipe from the book. Molly’s Winning Hearts and Minds cake, aka the best chocolate cake ever.

Today, I am so thankful for this book. So thankful for the revival of my writing, wanting to spend my day writing little poems, and painting.
